With just three matchweeks left in the 2022-23 ADNOC Pro League calendar, it is no wonder that the race for clinching the League title is heating up and set to go down to the wire.
Matchweek 23 of the ADNOC Pro League saw Al Ain cut the gap on leaders Shabab Al Ahli, who dropped two valuable points in the title race after being held to a 2-2 draw by Al Nasr.
Despite the draw, the Dubai-based side remained at the top with 50 points. However, they are now three points only above Al Ain who earned an impressive 2-0 win over Sharjah at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in a game that saw Laba Kodjo net a brace.
Matchweek 23, which took place on Tuesday, and Wednesday, April 18th and 19th, saw three home wins, three away victories, and one draw, with a tally of 20 goals.
Meanwhile, Al Wahda maintained their third place after settling a 3-1 comfortable win over Al Jazira, thanks to goals from Joao Pedro, Ala Zhir, and Facundo Daniel at Al Nahyan Stadium.
