Al Ain secured a big 3-0 win over Bani Yas in Matchweek 22 of the ADNOC Pro League.
The win sees Al Ain rise to fourth place in the league standings with 36 points, while Bani Yas remain in 10th on 22 points.
Al Ain controlled much of the match and opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Alejandro Romero, who finished after a clever pass from Yahya Nader.
The goal was initially ruled out for offside, but VAR confirmed it, giving Al Ain an early lead and clear momentum.
Bani Yas attempted to respond, showing flashes of danger in transition, but Al Ain's defensive structure held firm.
The second half saw both teams exchange attacking spells, with Bani Yas tightening their defense while Al Ain probed for a second goal.
Chances came and went on both ends, but the scoreline remained unchanged deep into the match.
Al Ain finally broke through again. In the 87th minute, Laba Kodjo set up Mohamed Awad for a clinical finish that doubled their lead.
Awad sealed the result just minutes later with a stoppage-time strike in the 94th minute, securing both his brace and a valuable three points for his side.
