Laba Kodjo has written his name in golden letters in Al Ain’s history, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer in the Adnoc Pro League with 125 goals, surpassing the legendary Ahmed Abdullah, who had held the record with 124.
The Togolese striker joined Al Ain during the 2019 winter transfer window from Moroccan side RS Berkane, and since then his rise has been nothing short of remarkable.
Season after season, Laba has been a decisive force, combining finishing ability with creativity to become one of the league’s most feared forwards.
The historic milestone arrived in Matchweek four of the 2025–26 Adnoc Pro League, when Laba scored a stunning hat-trick against Khorfakkan.
The treble not only lifted him to 125 goals but also marked his tenth career hat-trick in the competition, and the first hat-trick of the current season.
Khorfakkan have been his favorite opponents, conceding 19 goals to him, followed by Al Jazira with 14. Kalba, Al Dhafra, Sharjah, and Al Wasl have each conceded eight.
His record is a testament to both consistency and versatility: 72 goals with his right foot, 18 with his left, and 35 with his head. Of his 125 goals, 123 came from inside the penalty area and only two from outside.
He has converted 19 penalties, split between 59 goals at home and 66 away. The tally also includes 19 braces, seven hat-tricks, and three four-goal hauls.
