ADNOC Pro League in Numbers: Al Ain on Top, Khorfakkan Impress in Attack, Shabab Al Ahli in Defense

Five matchweeks into the ADNOC Pro League, early-season numbers reveal a competitive balance of attacking flair and defensive solidity across the division.

Al Ain top the table with 13 points from four wins and a draw, scoring 10 goals and conceding just four.

Their consistency has given them a narrow edge over Al Wahda, who are second with 11 points and a defense that has allowed only two goals, the second-best record behind Shabab Al Ahli, who have conceded just once.

Kalba sit third with 10 points, level with Shabab Al Ahli and Al Wasl, while Al Dhafra and Ajman follow closely on nine points each after strong starts.

In attack, Khorfakkan boast the ADNOC Pro League’s best shot-to-goal conversion at 24.2%, with eight goals from 29 attempts. Al Dhafra follow at 20.4% (10 from 40), while leaders Al Ain rank third at 15.6%.

At the other end, Bani Yas remain the least effective side, still goalless after five matches.

Al Bataeh lead the way in shooting accuracy, with 68% of their 25 efforts on target (17 shots). Al Dhafra rank second at 55%, while Al Nasr struggle at the bottom with just 30% accuracy from 40 attempts.

Goal distribution highlights distinct approaches. Kalba scored all seven of their goals in the second half, while Ajman’s three goals also came after the break.

Al Ain netted 60% of their goals in the second half, while Shabab Al Ahli were far more productive before halftime, scoring 75% of their goals in the opening 45 minutes.

Defensive stats underline two contrasting stories. Al Wahda have conceded only two goals from 36 shots faced, the lowest in terms of chances allowed, while Shabab Al Ahli have conceded only once despite facing 46 attempts, the best defensive record overall.

By contrast, Bani Yas (nine goals conceded), Dibba (11), and Khorfakkan (13) have struggled at the back.

Notably, Al Ain, Shabab Al Ahli, Al Nasr, and Ajman have conceded all of their goals in the second half, keeping clean sheets in every first half so far.

Passing data puts Al Wasl on top with 87.6% success from 2,293 completed passes, ahead of Shabab Al Ahli at 86.4%. Dibba sit bottom with 75.7%. In the opposition half, Shabab Al Ahli lead with 80.6% accuracy, just above Al Ain’s 80.1%.

In the final third, Al Wasl are most effective with 495 accurate passes at 73.1%, while Dibba again rank last at 46.8%.
