The opening five matchweeks of the ADNOC Pro League have delivered a wealth of attacking football, with 83 goals scored so far.
Significantly, 47 of those have come from open play – a clear indicator of tactical evolution and greater attacking intent across the competition.
Close Contests
Of the 35 matches played, 19 have been decided by a single goal, seven by a two-goal difference, two by a three-goal difference and only one by a four-goal margin – Al Jazira’s 4-0 win over Bani Yas. Just six matches have ended in draws.
Open Play Dominance
Open play accounts for the majority of goals (47), while set-pieces have produced 36 strikes – including 15 from corners and 13 from penalties.
Visitors Strike Late
Six goals have been scored in or after the 90th minute this season – all by visiting teams. No side has yet managed to score in stoppage time at home.
Impact of Substitutions
Al Wasl, Kalba and Sharjah each boast six different goalscorers. Kalba lead the way for goals by substitutes (4), with Sharjah close behind on three.
Al Wasl have spent the highest percentage of match time in the lead (36%), despite sitting fifth in the table. Al Wahda remain the only side yet to fall behind this season.
Meanwhile, Dibba, still searching for a first win, have registered the joint-highest number of shots on target (23) alongside Al Wahda and Kalba. Khorfakkan, however, hold the best conversion rate from attempts to goals.
