The UAE Pro League has confirmed the winners of its ‘The Best’ monthly awards for September, with Al Ain dominating all three categories: Best Player, Best Goalkeeper and Best Coach.
Laba Kodjo Claims Best Player Award
Al Ain striker Laba Kodjo secured the Best Player award after an impressive run of form, beating competition from Karim El Berkaoui (Al Dhafra), Mohanad Ali (Dibba), Dusan Tadic (Al Wahda) and Ahmed Noorollah (Kalba).
The Togolese forward scored four goals in three league appearances during September, taking his tally to seven for the season and cementing his position at the top of the ADNOC Pro League scoring chart.
Khalid Eisa Named Best Goalkeeper
Al Ain’s dominance continued as Khalid Eisa won the Best Goalkeeper accolade, edging out Ali Al Hosani of Ajman and Al Wasl’s Mohamed Ali.
Eisa has recorded 12 saves since the start of the campaign, playing a key role in Al Ain’s rise to the top of the league table.
Vladimir Ivić Wins Best Coach
Head coach Vladimir Ivić completed Al Ain’s clean sweep by claiming the Best Coach award. He topped the voting ahead of Kalba’s Vok Rasovic and Al Wasl’s Luís Castro.
All three managers registered identical records in September — two wins and one draw — but Ivić received the majority of votes.
