Dibba returned to winning ways with a 2–1 victory over Bani Yas at Dibba Stadium, in Matchweek 15 of the ADNOC Pro League, securing their third league win of the season.
Dibba took the lead in the 18th minute through Carlos Vinícius, before Bani Yas responded after the break with an equaliser by Munas Dabbur in the 59th minute.
The hosts quickly regained the advantage when Andrigo struck decisively in the 68th minute to seal the win.
Vinícius’ opener came from a direct free kick, marking Dibba’s first goal from such a situation in the Pro League since December 2012.
Early in the second half, Dibba were unlucky not to extend their lead when Mohaned Ali hit the post, before Bani Yas found their way back into the game.
Bani Yas pushed for a second equaliser in the closing stages, but Dibba showed defensive discipline to protect their lead until the final whistle.
The result lifts Dibba to 12 points in 12th place, while Bani Yas remain on 11 points at the bottom of the table.
