UAE Pro League Announces Sponsorship Agreement with Etihad Water and Electricity to Advance Youth Engagement and Community Impact

The UAE Pro League has announced a new sponsorship agreement with Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE), reinforcing a shared commitment to community development, youth engagement, and social wellbeing as part of broader corporate social responsibility efforts.

 

The signing ceremony took place on Monday at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, in the presence of, H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, H.E. Abdullah Nasser Al Jneibi, Chairman of the UAE Pro League and First Senior President of the UAE Football Association, and Eng. Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Water and Electricity.


The event was also attended by senior executives from both organizations, along with representatives of media outlets and content creators.

 

The UAE Pro League plays a pivotal role in advancing professional football in the United Arab Emirates, serving as a national platform that engages youth, communities, and sporting talent across the country.

 

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to leveraging sport as a positive force for social engagement and sustainable community development.


Through this sponsorship, Etihad Water and Electricity will support initiatives and platforms that encourage youth participation and strengthen community cohesion.


The collaboration will also utilise sport as a channel to promote awareness around sustainability, responsible resource consumption, and shared national values.

 

This partnership underscores the strong alignment between the UAE Pro League and Etihad Water and Electricity in fostering community participation, empowering youth, and driving broader social impact through sport.

 

Commenting on this agreement, H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etihad Water and Electricity, stated that this partnership reflects the importance of leveraging influential national platforms to enhance community engagement and empower youth.

 

He emphasized that sport serves as an effective tool in strengthening values of belonging and solidarity, while promoting awareness of responsible resource consumption in line with sustainability priorities.

 

H.E. Abdullah Nasser Al Jneibi, expressed the League’s pride in forging strategic partnerships with leading national institutions.

 

He stated: “When energy meets passion, the result is a stronger and brighter future for UAE football. We are delighted today to welcome Etihad Water and Electricity as a sponsor of the UAE Pro League competitions, supporting both our national product and professional clubs.
