Al Jazira produced a dominant display to defeat Sharjah 5-0 at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium on Matchweek 18 of the ADNOC Pro League, recording one of their biggest victories of the season.
After withstanding an early threat from Sharjah, when Luan Pereira tested goalkeeper Ali Khaseif, Al Jazira quickly imposed their authority on the match.
Bruno De Oliveira opened the scoring in the 20th minute, finishing from inside the penalty area after a well-delivered pass from Nabil Fekir.
The hosts maintained relentless pressure and were awarded a penalty in the 28th minute, which Fekir converted confidently to double the lead.
The French playmaker struck again just three minutes later with a powerful effort to make it 3-0, putting Al Jazira firmly in control before halftime.
Milson added a fourth goal in the 35th minute to complete a commanding first-half performance, leaving Sharjah with a mountain to climb.
The momentum continued after the break, as Simon Banza rose to head home the fifth goal in the 50th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory.
The result lifts Al Jazira to 31 points in fourth place, while Sharjah remain on 17 points in 11th position.
