Al Nasr claimed an important 2–1 win over Sharjah in their Matchweek 19 clash of the ADNOC Pro League at Sharjah Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The win lifts Al Nasr to 26 points, maintaining their sixth-place position in the standings, while Sharjah remain on 20 points in eighth.
After an energetic start from both sides, Al Nasr took the lead in the 30th minute when Luka Milivojevic converted a penalty following a foul on Abdoulaye Toure inside the box. Sharjah tried to respond before halftime but were unable to break through Al Nasr’s organised defence.
In the second half, Al Nasr extended their lead in the 67th minute as Abdoulaye Toure finished a well-worked move after a pass from Hussain Mahdi Mohammed. Sharjah pulled one back in the 81st minute through Ousmane Camara, who scored from an assist by Igor Coronado, but the visitors held firm to secure a valuable away win.
