Bani Yas extended their winning run with a valuable 1–0 win over Al Wahda in the closing match of Matchweek 19 of the ADNOC Pro League at Bani Yas Stadium.
The decisive moment came early in the second half when Mahamadou Camara scored the only goal of the match with a well-taken header in the 46th minute.
The result lifts Bani Yas to 20 points and moves them up to 11th place in the standings, while Al Wahda remain on 34 points in fourth.
The first half was relatively cautious, with both teams exchanging attempts without creating clear scoring opportunities.
Bani Yas came close in the 26th minute when a sudden effort narrowly missed the post. Just before the break, the hosts managed to find the breakthrough as Camara rose to head the ball into the net and give Bani Yas the advantage.
Al Wahda increased their attacking pressure in the second half in search of an equaliser. Their best chance arrived in the 77th minute, but the crossbar and the post denied them from pulling level.
Bani Yas were reduced to ten men in the 83rd minute after Yahya Nader received a red card, which intensified the pressure from Al Wahda during the closing stages.
However, Bani Yas held firm defensively, with their goalkeeper producing a key save to preserve the lead until the final whistle.
