Al Bataeh and Sharjah played out a goalless draw at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in Matchweek 25 of the ADNOC Pro League.
The result sees Al Bataeh move to 20 points in 13th place, while Sharjah reach 26 points in 10th.
The first half lacked clear-cut chances, with most of the play concentrated in midfield. Sharjah enjoyed more possession with 53.1 percent compared to 46.9 percent for Al Bataeh, but neither side managed to register a serious attempt on target.
The tempo increased in the second half as both teams pushed for a winning goal, though clear opportunities remained limited.
Sharjah came close in the 75th minute when Harib Abdalla struck from inside the box, but Al Bataeh goalkeeper reacted calmly to deny the effort.
Al Bataeh responded with their best chance of the match in the 80th minute, as substitute Álvaro de Oliveira’s powerful header was brilliantly saved by Sharjah goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani.
Neither side could find the breakthrough in the closing stages, as the match ended in a goalless draw.
