Ajman produced a strong second half display to claim a deserved 2 0 victory over Dibba in matchweek 25 of the ADNOC Pro League on Sunday.
After a quiet opening 45 minutes with few clear opportunities for either side, Ajman found their rhythm after the restart and struck twice to secure all three points at Dibba Stadium.
The win lifts Ajman to seventh place on 37 points, while Dibba remain 12th on 20 points as relegation concerns continue heading into the closing stages of the season.
The first half offered little in terms of attacking quality, with both teams struggling to create openings in a tense and cautious contest.
Ajman enjoyed more possession, but Dibba remained organised defensively and limited the hosts to speculative efforts from distance.
The breakthrough finally arrived 10 minutes into the second half through Guilherme Sucigan.
The Brazilian reacted quickest inside the penalty area after a loose ball fell kindly to him, before powering a close range finish into the back of the net to hand Ajman a deserved lead.
The goal shifted the momentum firmly in Ajman’s favour, with the hosts controlling possession and continuing to threaten against a Dibba side searching for a way back into the contest.
Dibba pushed numbers forward late on in pursuit of an equaliser, but Ajman remained compact defensively and looked dangerous on the counter attack.
Deep into stoppage time, Ajman wrapped up the victory when Habib Yousuf turned the ball into his own net in the 94th minute under pressure inside the area, confirming a commanding result for the home side.
Ajman now continue their push for a strong finish to the campaign, while Dibba face increasing pressure near the bottom of the table with only a handful of matches remaining.
