The 2025-2026 ADNOC Pro League season concluded with an exciting battle among the competition’s biggest stars, as players competed for supremacy across goals, assists, creativity, consistency, and attacking influence in one of the league’s most competitive campaigns in recent years.
Al Ain striker Laba Kodjo once again confirmed his dominance in front of goal after finishing as the league’s top scorer with 25 goals, continuing his remarkable legacy as one of the greatest forwards in ADNOC Pro League history.
Al Wahda’s Omar Khribin finished second in the scoring charts with 17 goals, while Shabab Al Ahli forward Yuri César Santos came third with 13 goals. Karim El Berkaoui followed with 11 goals for Al Dhafra, while Waleed Azaro and Tarik Tissoudali both ended the season with 10 goals each.
In the assists rankings, Dušan Tadić emerged as the league’s top playmaker with 12 assists for Al Wahda, narrowly ahead of Al Ain midfielder Matías Palacios, who finished with 10 assists. Federico Cartabia and Nicolás Giménez shared third place with eight assists each, while Alejandro Sebastián completed the top five with seven assists.
Tadić’s standout campaign included a memorable three-assist performance against Bani Yas in Matchweek 12, underlining his creative influence throughout the season.
Laba also led the league in total shots with 88 attempts, ahead of Khribin with 65 shots, while Abdoulaye Touré and Walid Azaro registered 50 shots each. Mohanad Ali rounded out the top five with 48 attempts.
In midfield control and passing, Matías Palacios topped the league with 1,236 successful passes, followed by Gláuber Lima with 1,179, Luka Milivojević with 1,150, Yahya Ben Khaleq with 1,130, and Jobson Santos with 1,128, highlighting the key role midfielders played in dictating the rhythm of matches.
Kevin Agudelo finished as the league’s most successful dribbler with 48 completed dribbles, ahead of Sergio Pereira with 45 and Brahima Diarra with 42, while Waleed Azaro and Guilherme da Silva shared fourth place with 40 successful dribbles each.
The season also highlighted the importance of consistency and physical endurance. Al Dhafra goalkeeper Amjad Al Sayed and Ajman’s Ali Al Hosani topped the minutes-played rankings with 2,340 minutes each.
They were followed by Gjoko Zajkov with 2,334 minutes, Al Ain goalkeeper Khalid Eisa with 2,323 minutes, and Matías Palacios with 2,272 minutes.
Laba Kodjo further strengthened his legendary status after winning the Golden Boot for the fifth time since arriving in the league.
He previously finished as top scorer in 2019-2020 with 19 goals, 2021-2022 with 26, 2022-2023 with 28, 2024-2025 with 20, and now 2025-2026 with 25 goals.
The Al Ain striker also extended his all-time tally in the ADNOC Pro League to 143 goals, opening a remarkable 48-goal advantage over his closest challenger, Ali Mabkhout, who has 95 goals.
Laba has now contributed to 168 goals in 155 league appearances, scoring 143 goals and providing 25 assists, further cementing his place among the most influential players in the history of the competition.
Meanwhile, Omar Khribin continued his impressive rise by reaching 126 goal contributions in 155 league appearances, with 99 goals and 27 assists.
He also became the second-highest scorer in the league since joining Al Wahda with 82 goals, trailing only Laba.
