Al Dhafra claimed a commanding 3-0 win over Kalba in matchweek seven of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday, thanks to a first-half own goal and two well-taken strikes after the break.
The result lifts Al Dhafra to fifth place on 12 points, while Kalba drop to sixth with 11 points.
The hosts found their breakthrough in the 18th minute, when Kalba defender Mohamed Subil, under pressure inside the box, inadvertently turned Vinicius Serafim’s dangerous cross past his own goalkeeper.
From that moment, Al Dhafra took full control, dictating the tempo and creating several chances. Rayan Yaslam went close midway through the half, cutting inside from the edge of the area before unleashing a fierce strike that was brilliantly tipped over by Sultan Al Manthari.
Kalba’s keeper was again called into action in first-half stoppage time, denying Karim El Berkaoui’s curling free kick to keep the score at 1–0 heading into the break.
After the restart, Al Manthari continued to frustrate the hosts with another fine save from Mohammed Elkhaloui’s low drive. But Al Dhafra kept pressing, and Berkaoui struck the post with a thunderous effort just after the hour mark.
Their persistence finally paid off in the 72nd minute, when Elkhaloui latched onto Johann Gudmundsson’s through ball, cut inside, and coolly slotted home a low finish to double the advantage.
Substitute Abderrahmane Soussi put the result beyond doubt late on, converting from close range after Ezeckiel Noumonvi teed him up to seal a convincing win for Al Dhafra.
