Shabab Al Ahli came within one goal of equalling the record when they scored 73 times during the 2023–24 campaign, placing them second on the all-time single-season list.
Al Jazira sit third with 72 goals, recorded during their memorable 2016–17 season, a campaign that also saw them set the record for the most victories in a single season.
Al Wasl are fourth after scoring 70 goals in 2023–24, adding their name to the list of the most prolific teams in Pro League history.
As another season begins, 74 remains the number to match and 75 the target required to establish a new single-season scoring record.
