As the countdown continues to the opening of the 18th edition of the ADNOC Pro League on 14 August, the race for the League title once again takes centre stage.
Since the beginning of the professional era, the championship has produced memorable title races and crowned some of the UAE's biggest clubs, each leaving its mark on the competition's history.
Al Ain stand alone as the most successful club of the professional era, having lifted the League Shield on six occasions.
Their title-winning campaigns came in the 2011–12, 2012–13, 2014–15, 2017–18, 2021–22, and 2025–26 seasons, making them the competition's most decorated champions.
Shabab Al Ahli follow with five league titles, winning the championship in 2008–09, 2013–14, 2015–16, 2022–23, and 2024–25.
Al Jazira have claimed the title three times, triumphing in the 2010–11, 2016–17, and 2020–21 seasons.
Al Wahda were crowned champions in the 2009–10 season, Sharjah lifted the trophy in 2018–19, while Al Wasl added their name to the roll of honour by winning the 2023–24 title.
With a new season about to begin, clubs will once again battle for the League's biggest prize. Some will be aiming to extend their remarkable records, while others will look to add their names to the distinguished list of champions.
As the 2026–27 campaign gets underway, another chapter is set to be written in the history of the ADNOC Pro League.
