A dramatic affair at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium saw hosts Khorfakkan emerge 3-0 winners against Al Bataeh in matchweek five of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday.
It took 65th minutes for the hosts to break the deadlock when Aylton Filipe met Ramon Lopes De Freitas's cross with a powerful header from six yards into the bottom corner.
In the 74th minute, Khorfakkan doubled their lead when Filipe sent a perfectly weighted cross for Ramon Lopes De Freitas, as the latter dribbled inside the box and curled a right-footed effort into the left bottom corner of the net.
The hosts added that the third goal of the night, when Antonio Junior cut inside the penalty area from the left wing and drilled the ball into the far bottom corner of the net, sealing a 3-0 win for Khorfakkan.
The result means Khorfakkan are now in the 11th place with 4 points, while Al Bataeh remain eighth with six points.
