Title holders Shabab Al Ahli defeated Ittihad Kalba 3-1 in matchweek five of the U-21 Pro League, to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2022-23 season, with a five-point lead at the league top.
The net rippled on 22 occasions during matchweek five as only one encounter ended in a draw, while the other six clashes saw two home wins and four away victories.
Matchweek five got underway with four encounters, which took place on Saturday, October 8th, at 17:15 pm.
Al Ain snatched a 1-0 victory over Dibba at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium, while Sharjah returned to the winning ways after pulling off a 3-1 win over Al Jazira. Meanwhile, Ajman secured a 2-1 away win over Bani Yas.
The games continued with Al Wasl pulling off a 2-0 win over Al Dhafra at Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium, while Al Bataeh and Khorfakkan played out a 2-2 draw, which is the only match that ended in a tie in the five matchweek.
The third and last match of the day saw Al Wahda defeat Al Nasr 3-1 at Al Maktoum Stadium.
