Matchweek five of the ADNOC Pro League will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 7th and 8th, as each club looks to gain some ground between keeping pace with the league's leading teams or moving up the standings.
Friday's actions get underway with Shabab Al Ahli welcoming Ittihad Kalba at Rashid Stadium for the 17:15 kick-off.
The two teams seek to compensate for their last defeats in matchweek four. Shabab Al Ahli and Ittihad Kalba had previously met 14 times before, with nine wins for the Dubai-based side, while the other five matches ended in draws.
At the same time, Dibba will have a hard-fought game against title holders Al Ain. During their ten previous meetings, Al Ain won six, compared to two victories for Dibba, while the draw decided the result of the other two encounters.
The fixtures continue with two matches taking place at 20:00 as Ajman welcome Bani Yas at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium as both clubs have just four points from a win, a draw, and two defeats.
At the same time, Al Jazira will host Sharjah as the two teams will seek to extend the gap at the top of the ADNOC Pro League's table.
During their 24 previous meetings, the Pride of Abu Dhabi pulled off 15 wins, compared to four wins for Sharjah, while the other five matches ended in draws. Al Jazira scored 50 goals, while Sharjah found the back of Al Jazira's net on 22 occasions.
Matchweek five concludes with three encounters taking place on Saturday, with Al Wasl facing off Al Dhafra at Zabeel stadium for the 17:15 kick-off.
The two clubs had previously met on 24 occasions, with 11 wins for Al Wasl, seven for Al Dhafra, and the other six matches ended in draws.
At the same time, Khorfakkan welcome Al Bataeh at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium, where the two clubs will be in search of compensating for their last defeats in matchweek 4. It will be the first game between the two clubs in the history of the ADNOC Pro League.
The games conclude with Al Wahda hosting Al Nasr in a fiery clash at Al Nahyan Stadium for the 20:00 kick-off.
The two clubs had previously clashed 26 times, with 14 wins for Al Wahda and four victories for Al Nasr, while the draws decided the result of the other eight games.
