Sharjah and Al Jazira played out a goalless draw at Sharjah Stadium on Friday in Gameweek 3 of the 2026-27 ADIB Cup.
The result took Al Jazira to seven points, while Sharjah moved to four points after both teams failed to find the net.
The first half was closely contested, with much of the play concentrated in midfield. Sharjah enjoyed slightly more possession, controlling around 54% of the ball, while Al Jazira posed the greater attacking threat with 13 shots, including six on target.
The biggest moment came in first-half stoppage time when Sharjah were awarded a penalty after Lorran De Sousa was brought down while through on goal.
Igor Coronado stepped up to take the spot kick, but Al Jazira goalkeeper Ali Khaseif produced a crucial save to deny the hosts the lead and keep the match goalless at half-time.
Both sides continued to search for a breakthrough in the second half and created further chances, but neither could find a way past the opposition defence.
The match ended 0-0, with both teams taking a point from the contest.
